Summary of the G7 Science Academies Meeting and of the G7 Science Conference “The role of National Academies and International Academy Networks in advising Institutions” held in 2017 at Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei in Rome. Three joint Statements were elaborated by the G7 National Academies on 1. Cultural heritage: building resilience to natural disasters, coordinated by Giovanni Seminara 2. The challenge of neurodegenerative diseases in an aging population, coordinated by Maurizio Brunori 3. New economic growth: the role of science, technology, innovation and infrastructure, coordinated by Alberto Quadrio-Curzio.
